Services » METACyt CCC
A METACyt-funded collaboration between The Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics (CGB) and the University Information Technology Services (UITS), the CCC's mission is to promote and facilitate the full and effective use of IUB's bioinformatics and computational resources by the campus's life sciences community.
The CCC can support life scientists in several ways:
- as collaborators in projects that are computation-intensive or that involve large datasets;
- by helping scientists to identify appropriate computer resources, software, and/or statistical tools;
- by devising software and/or by modifying existing software to its speed or utility; and
- by the workshops and short courses we offer to graduate students, postdocs and faculty.
We encourage scientists who are preparing grant proposals to discuss bioinformatics and computation issues with the CCC staff.
Announcements of upcoming workshops and short courses will be posted at this site.
